We had 10 fabulous days with Johny from Birding Pantanal. What an amazing experience from swimming jaguars, tapirs, caimans and a jaguarundi to roseate spoonbills to jabirus and toco toucans, macaws, kingfishers and manakins to the tiniest little tody-Flycatcher. Nothing was too much trouble, our days were filled with amazing birding experiences. The lodges and food were all good. We couldn’t recommend Birding Pantanal highly enough
Excellently organized and very interesting tour. We spent 13 days in Cerrado and Pantanal and watched more than 250 bird species and some interesting mammals, such as jaguar, tapir, ocelot and great anteater. Thanks a lot to Giuliano, our experienced guide Johny and all team of Birding Pantanal! I recommend all birdwatchers and wildlife photographers to plan tours in Brazil with the Birding Pantanal.

10 day birding and Jaguars trip. The Pantanal is a great place and we had a great time. Very much enjoying the different lodges and the company of our friendly bird guide Johny. Would happily recommend to anyone.
We had a great trip. Over 280 species of birds. Many good looks. Many life birds. I would not hesitate to recommend Birding Pantanal to anyone who wishes to visit the Atlantic rainforest. I believe your trips to the Pantanal would be equally successful.
June 2019 found us in Brazil on a birding trip organized by Lisa and Giuliano of BIRDING PANTANAL We requested a private tour with guide and they met all of our needs: excellent guide - Rene Santos,
accommodation, meals, vehicles and synchronized travel. These folks know bird guiding and touring in Brazil and we can truly say there wasn’t a hitch in their planning or our experience.
The tour took us to various altitudes to find birds that live in various habits (REGUA, Parc Itatiaia, Ubatuba and the Pantanal).
We are a Canadian couple, dedicated to birding, who arrived in Brazil with a species of count 960 that increased to 1300!!!
I asked Birding Pantanal to organize a trip for me to SE Brazil for 2 weeks. He set up a guide for me with Calyptura Expeditions. Rene was my guide. He did a fantastic job helping me, a half blind, half deaf very old birder find the birds. I recorded 117 new birds and saw a total of 265 birds that were worth writing down. We visited Regua, Ubatuba, Itatiaia National Park (not to be missed), and Intervales State Park. The weather was somewhat uncooperative with rain every day but two. It is the Atlantic Rain Forest. The bird that I wanted was the Sharpbill. Saw it at Intervales a couple of times. Other notable birds were the Gilt-edged Tanager and Saffron Toucanet at Itatiaia, the Red and White Crake and Giant Antshrike at Intervales and the male Squamate Antbird at Ubatuba--a very beautiful bird. Also the Buff-breasted Purpletuft, not a particularly exciting bird but one that is difficult to see.
